The owners of NE 13-57-7-W4 want to cancel their approved subdivision and submit a new application on the same property.  They are requesting that the County forgive the fee for the new subdivision application.

When the original application was submitted to Alberta Transportation in 2016 for comment, they stated that the landowners were required to construct a service road.  There has since been changes in Alberta Transportation and they will now allow a second approach to be created.  Conditional approval on the first application was already issued and cannot be amended.

Much of Canada's infrastructure—roads, drinking water and wastewater systems, arenas, bridges and more—is owned by municipal government. With the support of the federal government, municipalities are embarking on an unprecedented renewal phase of these critical assets, recognizing that Canadians rely on this infrastructure for their quality of life.

The Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP) is a five-year, $50-million program that will support Canadian cities and communities to make informed decisions about infrastructure, such as the planning and construction of roads, recreational facilities, and water and wastewater systems.

Administration is recommending the County apply to the Program to pursue funding to enhance current asset management practices.

Motion to apply for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Municipal Asset Management Program for County of St. Paul Asset Management Enhancement Project to advance the County's asset management program through establishing levels of service, implementing a centralized information system, and strengthening the accountability of the asset management team.

Motion to commit $16,500 from the County budget to fund the County's portion of the Asset Management Enhancement Project.

Administration met with the Town of Elk Point to review the Joint Site Use Operations Agreement for the Level 1, Class III Transfer Station at SW 36-56-7-W4.

Administration is recommending to approve the Joint Use and Operations Agreement as presented.

The St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church has water siting on the cemetery instead of running into the ditches.  They are looking for a solution to drain the water - culvert or weeping tile?
