A special meeting of the Council of the County of St. Paul was called to order by Reeve Upham at 10:07 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the County Office in St. Paul, there being present the following:

    Motion to approve the agenda as presented.

Reeve Upham declared the Public Hearing open at 10:08 with all members of Council present except Councillor Dach.

 

Council was informed that the Public Hearing was advertised in accordance with section 606 of the M.G.A.

 

Council was then informed that the purpose of the public hearing is to discuss Bylaw No. 1570, which is a bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw as it relates to rezoning PSE 17-58-9-W4 from Urban Reserve to Country Residential.

 

There were no written submissions either for or against the proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw.

 

There was no one present to speak in favor of the proposed bylaw.

 

Reeve Upham declared the public hearing closed at 10:10 a.m.

 

Reeve Upham called the meeting back to order at 10:11 a.m.

    Motion to adjourn the meeting to proceed to public hearing scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to discuss Bylaw No. 1570, amendment to Land Use Bylaw, as it relates to rezoning PSE 17-58-9-W4 from Urban Reserve to Country Residential.

Council was informed that the Town of Nanton has set up a trust account for the Town of Slave Lake.

 

The Town of Sylvan Lake is also recruiting staff from Municipalities in Alberta to assist with disaster recovery.

 

  • Resolution #SM20110531.1005

    Motion that the County of St. Paul will assist with the disaster recovery in Slave Lake by authorizing a maximum of two staff members from Public Works and two staff members from Administration to go to Slave Lake to provide assistance as required by the Town of Slave Lake, if staff members are available to go.

Motion by Councillor A. Corbiere that the meeting adjourn.
