Meeting has been scheduled with Muni Corr for Saturday, October 31st to discuss purchasing land adjacent to the Iron Horse Trail, in Section 4-59-10-4, for construction on the Owlseye Road.

Crusher Loader

Public Works has received the following quotes for a new loader to be used at the crusher:

  • John Deere 844K - $526,000
  • Volvo L220H - $624,800
  • Cat 980M - $645,000

The John Deere loader is a new 2015 Tier 3 engine.  Volvo and Cat are 2016 Tier 4 engine.

Trucks

As discussed at Strategic Planning, Public Works would like to start getting quotes to secure prices for new trucks to replace the following:

T-06 2006 KW (gravel box)

T-53 2007 Star (gravel box)

T-54 2007 Star (gravel box and plow package)

T-7  1990 Peterbuilt (single axle 4x4 with sander)

 

Trucks would be paid out of the 2016 budget.

Bott Family Donation

There will be an ad in next week's paper that the County is accepting donations for the Bott family and there will also be a radio advertisement on the Spur starting next week.  There is also a notice on the County's website.
