The Lakeland Primary Care Network is sponsoring a "Steps to a Healthier You" run/walk in schools within the Lakeland PCN area.  Approximately 285 students will run/walk a marathon in as many stages as it takes to complete the 26 miles.  The expenses incurred by the Lakeland PCN include a t-shirt (@ $15 per shirt) for each marathoner, posters, snacks and water for the wrap-up day, and prizes of approximately $500.

Funding for this program comes out of their operational budget.  They are requesting financial assistance to help offset the costs of this event.

Brad Shapka, on behalf of the Lakelander's Trailer Club is once again requesting an extension on their agreement to access their lots through Floatingstone Municipal Park, for the 2016 camping season.  They have received permission from the Provincial Government to build their access road and Mr. Shapka is in the process of getting quotes from companies to build the road.  They plan to have the road completed by this fall.

Administration is recommending to approve the Short Term Access Agreement for the Lakelander's Trailer Club through Floatingstone Municipal Park to MLL Lease No. 2202 located in NW 29-60-11-W4, for the 2016 camping season.

At the April 8, 2015 Council meeting, Council accepted a bid for the 2009 Degelman 1530 Rotary Mower.  The successful bidder changed his mind and did not pick up the mower and by the time he notified the ASB Department, it was too late in the season to re-advertise it for sale.  Dennis Bergheim recently had calls from the public expressing interest in purchasing the mower.

Administration is recommending to advertise the mower for sale.
