Attached is the Equipment List for 2017.  The following items have been added to the list:

  • T650 T4 Bobcat Track Skid Steer - $61,000 with trade of $36,000 - $25,000
  • Bobcat attachment for installing silt fence - $10,000

At the November Council Meeting, Council tabled discussions on the St. Paul North Joint Area Structure Plan. 

 

Krystle Fedoretz will be in to meet with Council to discuss the Plan.

At the November meeting, Council tabled the decision on whether or not to proceed with applying for a CARES grant.

The Town of Vegreville is requesting letters of support in keeping the Case Processing Centre open.

The St. Paul Curling Club will be hosting a "Birthday Bonspiel" in early January to kick off the 150 celebrations and they will be tying it in with the 50th Anniversary of the St. Paul Curling Rink.  The bonspiel will include community members who were present and active in 1967 and there will be a competitive section as well as a family friendly curling section.

 

They are requesting $1,000 to help set the ground work for the event.  

Explore Surveys, on behalf of Tony Noel, is requesting that Council consider waiving the fees for a new subdivision application as the new subdivision is a modification of an original application which was already paid for.  The previous subdivision was not completed due to a miscommunication between the landowner and the surveyor.

During strategic planning, County Council decided to hold a plebiscite on the issue of hiring a peace officer for the County of St. Paul No. 19. 

In accordance with Section 44 (1) of the Local Authorities Election Act, Council must, by resolution, determine the wording of the question to be used on the ballot. 

In accordance with Section 11 (1) of the Local Authorities Election Act, Council must, by resolution, fix a date for the question to be on the ballot. 

 

Proposed Wording for ballot - Are you in favour of the County of St. Paul No. 19 hiring peace officers to carry out traffic and bylaw enforcement activities within its boundaries?

 

Administration is recommending to approve placing the question "Are you in favour of the County of St. Paul hiring peace officers to carry out traffic and bylaw enforcement activities within its boundaries?" on the ballot on the date of the next general election being October 16, 2017. 

Motion to Rescind CM20161108.1025 - Frank's Motion - to designate December 27 & 28 as floater days.

Motion should read to designate December 26 & 27 as floater days.
